This is the brand new website for the brand new Toronto-based vocal group, Eh440.

We sing in the acappella style which means that we don't use any musical instruments to create our sound.

In early 2012, a group of singers got together and wanted to start something new. Some of us had sung together before, some of us only knew of each other through their music, and Janet and Stacey had even been childhood singing-contest rivals!

So, a beatboxer, and 4 vocalists came together and started Eh440 - a contemporary twist on the oldest musical art form.

Although the group is new, individually we've released CDs and have had our fair share of performance experience. Between us, we've performed globally including coast-to-coast in Canada, the U.S., as well as Europe and Asia.

But really, who cares? What matters is how we sound now and the calibre of show you're going to see.

Feel free to click around a bit and connect with us on the social media networks. Also, be sure to sign-up for our e-Newsletter so we can let you know what's going on with us.

Swamprella
Swamperella, the Toronto Cajun band, have just produced their second CD, Black Cat Boogie, and I'm falling in love with their music all over again ...The 17 tracks on Black Cat provide plenty of opportunity to dance, but they also remind you that Cajun music is often melodic and beautiful.... The disc kicks off with the joyous and infectious "La Crep A Nazare," which positively sizzles. Fiddle player Soozi Schlanger, who pours her Cajun soul into the vocals, offers a wonderful reading on "Braille Pas, Jolis Petits Yeux Bleux," a song as bluesy as it is beautiful...Special notice goes to the CD's closer, the amazing "Les Barres De La Prison." Ad some surface noise and it would be right at home on an anthology of Cajun music from 1932.

It is evident from their shows that playing Taiko is not just drumming. A performance can range from the dark and mysterious to light and upbeat -- a visual and musical journey that thrills the senses.

Yakudo performs with one of the largest collections of authentic Taiko, outside of Japan. This includes their signature and very popular Odaiko - possibly the largest Taiko drum in Canada.
